Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is a health problem that is often encountered among the elderly and increases the risk of experiencing complications of sensitivity to the feet. The study aimed to determine whether fasting blood sugar levels, duration of illness, and stress levels affect the sensitivity of the feet of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients at Posyandu Permadi, Tlogomas Village, Lowokwaru District, Malang City. The research design uses a correlation design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population was 55 type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients, and the study sample was 51 respondents with a determination using Simple Random Sampling. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, stress levels (Perceived Stress Scale/PSS-10), and feet sensitivity observation sheets. The data analysis method used is the Multiple Linear Regression test. The results proved that the average fasting blood sugar was 148 mg/dl, the patient had been suffering for about six years, the stress level was moderate, and the feet were positively sensitive. The hypothesis test showed that the three variables simultanously affected the sensitivity of the elderly feet with type 2 diabetes mellitus by 73.8% with model Y = 3.763 + 0.001X1+0.081X2+0.228X3. Future researchers are expected to examine other factors that affect stress levels such as socioeconomic status and history of trauma.
