Hubungan Tingkat Stres dan Lama Menderita Dengan Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) Pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe II di Puskesmas Kendalkerep Blimbing Malang

The impact of diabetes mellitus such as chronic complications can occur at the level of small blood vessels and large blood vessels. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between stress levels and duration of suffering with the ankle brachial index (ABI) in type II diabetes mellitus patients at Kendalkerep Public Health Center, Blimbing Malang. The research design used cross sectional. The population of this study were all DM patients as many as 59 patients at the Kendalkerep Health Center, (August 2021 data) with 57 respondents research sample taken by simple random sampling. Data were collected by a questionnaire about stress levels, duration of suffering and an observation sheet for the value of the ankle brachial index. Data analyzed by chi-square test. The results showed that most of the respondents had mild stress levels in type II DM patients, most of the respondents had suffered from DM less than 10 years in type II DM patients, almost half of the respondents had a normal category ankle brachial index in type II DM patients at Kendalkerep Health Center. There is a relationship between stress levels and duration of suffering with the ankle brachial index value in type II DM patients at Kendalkerep Health Center, Blimbing Malang, with p-value = (0.000) with p-value = (0.000) < (0.05). For further research, it is expected to examine blood sugar levels, insulin therapy, diet and physical activity as factors that also affect the value of the ankle brachial index.
