Abstrak

Palatal adenoma is the most common salivary gland tumor. These tumors are usually found in the posterolateral area of the hard palate. In this Nasopharyngeal CT Scan, the scanning area that must be taken is from the superior orbital rim to the apex of the lung, while at the radiology installation at Dr. Moewardi Hospital the scanning area from the superior orbital rim to the bottom of the clavicle or 3rd thoracic vertebra must be entered. This study aims to analyze the CT Scan procedure of the nasopharynx in cases of adenoma of the palate at the radiology unit of RSUD DR. Moewardi. This type of research is qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected using observation methods, interviews with radiographers and radiology specialists and documentation. Data processing and analysis was carried out descriptively related to the results of observations, interviews and documentation so that conclusions and suggestions could be drawn. Nasopharyngeal CT Scan examination in cases of palatal adenoma in the management of the examination the scanning area is added to the bottom of the clavicle bone, which aims to evaluate the spleen denopathy, determine the extent of the tumor, whether it destroys other organs and also for evaluation of splenic lung denopathy. The results of the scanning process are carried out by reconstructing axial, sagittal, coronal sections so that you can see the entire nasopharyngeal organ. Axial sections are used to confirm the pathological location, while coronal and sagittal sections are used to show the entire nasopharynx.
